Daniel J. Burke

Mr. Burke handles all aspects of civil litigation defense in North Carolina state and federal courts. Mr. Burke has worked on medical malpractice, workers compensation, commercial litigation, and general liability cases involving bodily injury, wrongful death, construction defects, and damage to real and personal property. He joined the firm in August 2017 after serving as a law clerk to Judge Michael L. Robinson on the North Carolina Business Court. While serving as a law clerk, Mr. Burke dealt with complex civil litigation matters such as contract disputes, business torts, internal corporate governance disputes, Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices claims, and misappropriation of trade secret claims.

Prior to his clerkship, Mr. Burke received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he provided pro bono services ranging from obtaining divorces for indigent clients to working on criminal cases.
